Santa Cruz Bikes killer event, Hellride, is back this year in Downieville, California on August 1-3. When they say Hellride, they aren’t kidding. It involves between 65 and 75 miles of prime high country riding, mostly singletrack, with anywhere between 12,500 and 15,000 feet of climbing. YIKES!!! That's some hardcore riding. The winner of the ride wins a tricked out Santa Cruz bike valued at $5,000. Only 4 women and 4 men are given the opportunity to participate in this AWESOME ride. Here's a plug for my friend Kristin, AKA Catzilla, who is trying to obtain enough votes to be offered a spot in the Santa Cruz Bikes Hellride 5.
