Jig-A-Loo Product Review
I was recently contacted by the marketing agency that represents
Jig-A-Loo lubricant. They wanted to know if I would like to give the product a try, then write a product review for my Bike Diva site.
What is Jig-A-Loo
Unlike WD-40, which is a petroleum based product, Jig-A-Loo claims to contain no petroleum based products. According to their website, Jig-A-Loo is “
a dry silicone-based lubricant that, unlike any other lubricant, contains no oil, grease, wax, petroleum distillates or detergent…”
Being a fan of WD-40, I was interested in trying out Jig-A-Loo. I received three, 3 oz. sample cans of Jig-A-Loo to try out. I gave one can to my husband, Rob, and kept the other two cans to try out around the house.

Over 101 Uses
Jig-A-Loo can be used for a variety of purposes. Jig-A-Loo is a rust inhibitor, water repellant and all-purpose lubricant. Here are some of the items I used it on throughout my house.
- Waterproof hiking boots
- Waterproof mountain bike shoes
- Waterproof road bike shoes
- Waterproof running shoes
- Waterproof my EZ-Up tent
- Keep metal garden tools from rusting
- Un-stick rusty bike chains
- Un-stick and keep wood drawers lubricated
- Help sliding doors glide smoothly along their track
Stinks A Bit
Although one of the marketing slogans is that Jig-A-Loo doesn’t stink, I did find it had a bit of a strong odor. If possible, take the item that is being treated, such as your cycling shoes, outdoors, or onto a screen porch that has cross ventilation, before spraying them with Jig-A-Loo.
Additional Uses
Jig-A-Loo can be used on wood, metal, most plastics, glass, leather, fabrics and rubber. Jig-A-Loo, it makes the world run smoother!
Additional Information
Jig-A-Loo is available at a variety of stores including Home Depot, Walmart, True Value, Ace Hardware and Pepboys Auto.
