I just wanted to let you know that your very own Bike Diva has been hired to be the cycling blogger for the Charity Mile website. I'll be blogging 2-3 times per week, usually on Tuesday and Thursday. I'll mostly be blogging about charity biking events that benefit various non-profit organizations. But I'm also allowed to blog about general training and nutrition tips, while getting ready for your next charity biking event.
I'll be posting up information on local and national charity biking events, as I find out about them. Road bike rides, mountain bike rides, etc.... If they benefit a charity organization I can blog about it. I'll also be adding lots of information on charity biking events that I have participated in such as:
Multiple Sclerosis Society - MS150
American Diabetes Association - Tour de Cure
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - various century rides throughout the United States.
I'll also be blogging about the various methods I've used to help raise funds for non-profit organizations, as I train for their charity cycling events.
Check out my first post I just added to the site: Cycling Blogger Introduction.

BETTER THAN WD40?
If you've been following my Bike Diva site (http://bikediva.net), you will remember that I did a review on Jig-A-Loo all-purpose lubricant on August 25th - http://bikediva.net/2008/08/25/jig-a-loo-all-purpose-lubricant/. Jig-A-Loo's marketing company contacted me to see if I was interested in conducting a give-away of their product on Bike Diva. When I told them I was involved with Team in Training, and we were having a team yard sale on September 20th, they sent me a whole bunch of stuff so I can setup a display of Jig-A-Loo at the sale.
What's up for grabs? Three Jig-A-Loo baseball caps, 3 Jig-A-Loo t-shirts, 12 full size cans of Jig-A-Loo, 24 sample cans of Jig-A-Loo, sample cans of Jig-A-Patch (sprayable spackling), advertising banners, etc... - COOL! Show up the day of the sale, get a free sample can of Jig-A-Loo (while supplies last) and sign up for your chance to win a t-shirt or baseball cap. FREE is always a good thing.
FYI TEAM IN TRAINING
Note to our Team in Training cycle team: If you are attending the yard sale, please wear a Team in Training shirt, either your cycling jersey, t-shirt, tri tops, or those cool new shirts Jill handed out last week. I'll be taking lots of photos of everyone to place on my Bike Diva and Charity Fitness Events sites and to send to the Jig-A-Loo marketing company. Great opportunity for your 15 minutes of fame!

Check out the Bicycle Tutor website for a ton of videos showing you how to do all sorts of repairs and maintenance to your bike. Bicycle Tutor is run by Alex Ramon.
Here's a little bit of information about Alex:
"My name is Alex Ramon. I’ve been a bicycle geek since early childhood, spending my twenties working as a mechanic in some great bike shops. My cycling passions include flatland bmx, unicycles and cycle-touring and I have a lot of fun mountain biking and road riding. I’ll basically ride anything with pedals. The purpose of this site is to help people learn how to fix their own bikes. While I don’t work in a shop anymore, I still have all of my tools and some parts so I might as well share what I know (and learn from you)."
There are currently 40 videos on the site including: How to fix a flat tire, How to adjust your seat height and angle, How to tune up your bike and Basic bike repair tools.
Check out the Bicycle Tutor videos, blog or forum, for a ton of cycling repair and maintenance information and advice.
