Amped Up Chiclets
I just received samples of
VE2 Energy Gum to try out and see how I like it. At first glance, VE2 Energy Gum reminds me of Chiclets gum amped up on rocket fuel! They look just like the white, mint flavored version of Chiclets, but that's where the comparison stops.
Energy Gum
VE2 Energy Gum contains, among other ingredients, caffeine, guarana and ginseng along with vitamins B6 and B12. Two pieces of VE2 is said to be equal to drinking an 8 ounce can of energy drink, or a cup of coffee. The peppermint flavored gum should be chewed for at least 5 minutes in order to receive the full effect. Although the gum is sugar free, each piece contains 5 calories.
Feeling Buzzed
Being a bit of a lightweight in the energy product category, I tried one piece of the gum, instead of the recommended two pieces. My husband on the other hand is a energy drink junkie, so I gave him two pieces of gum to try out. Unless you are used to the effects of energy drinks, you might want to use caution when first trying out VE2 Energy Gum. I felt a bit buzzy, like my whole body was vibrating, after only trying one piece of the gum.
I guess feeling energized is the whole point of the product, but I'm not sure if I enjoyed the feeling. Then again, I'm not a fan of products such as Red Bull and Monster Energy drinks, so I'm not the type of person that VE2 would be marketed to. My husband and son are both energy drink fans, so they are the perfect marketing demographic i.e. prime customer, for VE2 Energy Gum.
Kid at Heart
VE2 has a sweet, crunchy outer coating, just like a piece of Chiclet gum. VE2 has an intense peppermint flavor, which leaves your mouth feeling refreshed and slightly tingly. I love having a cold drink of water after eating something flavored with peppermint. It reminds me of whenever I had gum in elementary school and I would rush out to the water fountain to have a sip of cool water. Yes, I'm still a kid at heart!
Easy to Use
A packet of VE2 Energy Gum can easily be stowed away in the back pocket of your cycling jersey, or in your under seat bike bag. You can't do that with a cup of coffee, or a can of energy drink! Athletes of all kinds, including runners, triathletes, cyclists, adventure racers and more, should check out VE2 Energy Gum for a quick blast of energy, while participating in their favorite sporting events.
