According to the Perfect Pushup website: "The Perfect Pushup was developed by a US Navy SEAL using the latest in biomechanics and engineering to help you achieve better results from your pushup workouts. Smooth rotating handles accelerate results by engaging more muscles in the arms, chest, shoulders, and back. It also helps reduce strain on wrists and elbows, and helps to stabilize and strengthen the shoulder joint."
Testing Perfect Pushups
I recently had a chance to test out the Perfect Pushup Mobile Unit. My husband got our son a set of the original Perfect Pushups for Christmas. He is working on his "guns" and has attached a questionable looking metal bar to the rafters of our large storage shed so he can start doing pull ups. But he's also been asking for a set of Perfect Pushups for quite some time.
I like the compact styling of the Perfect Pushups Mobile Unit. It's great for people who travel a lot. The mobile unit easily comes apart and lays flat in its storage case. The compact size of the mobile unit can easily fit in your carry-on luggage. The original Perfect Pushup, is a bit beefier, and although light weight, is a bit too bulky to be traveling with.
From Whimp to Superwomen
Although I try to lift dumbbells a few times per week, I still don't have a lot of upper body strength. I've got great legs, from all the running and cycling that I do, but still kind of whimpy arms. I started doing modified pushups, with bent legs, when I first started using the Perfect Pushup unit. I'm slowly building up my upper body strength so I'll be able to do regular pushups using Perfect Pushups.
Perfect Pushups makes doing pushups a bit harder than regular pushups. I can do regular pushups with straight legs, but when I started using the Perfect Pushup Unit, gosh, it was like I was back to whimpy arms again. So starting off with a bent leg pushup style, when first using the Perfect Pushup unit, is recommended, unless you are already Superman.
Chinese Auction Prize
Since I had my son's Perfect Pushups to test out, I ended up using the mobile version as a Chinese Auction prize at a recent Team in Training fundraiser. Team in Training is the largest fundraising program for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

My husband and I have been involved with our local Team in Training cycle team for the past 4 seasons. We are always hosting fundraising events at our home, and looking for donations of merchandise that can be used as raffle and auction prizes.
